Well I did a little poking around on the Rethinking Schools website. I used their search feature to see what they were touting as their successes. When prop 227 passed in California restricting bilingual educati0n did you hear anyone saying that test scores when up as a result? Well as a teacher in that area how could you not have been aware of the arguments pro and con? Did you hear any of the counter-aguments that the test scores went up for reasons unrelated to prop 227 or that there was no evidence linking the decrease in bilingual education to the increase in test scores? Unless you lived under a rock you did. And do you know where those counter-arguments originated and who was advancing them? We think you can guess.
