Exactly.  As I said, it was man who created religion.  Voltaire was right many years ago.  However, mankind is never going to figure out everything scientifically.  Some things simply can't be proven by the scientific method.  We can explain how life was created, for example, but not why.  And the more we learn, the more we realize that we don't know everything. 




Yes, religion has a way of controlling people, and is likely one reason it was invented.


And yes, god is an element within mankind and all living creatures.




And the more math, science, and psychology teach us, the more we realize we don't know.






Exactly right.  No one should have a right to impose their belief system on anyone else.  That's why freedom of religion is so important.




Yes, that's so, and there are other children who are growing up grounded in religion who are also secure and realistic.  It all depends on the religion, and whether or not it instills fear into its believers.  It is not god people fear, but the religion they espouse.
