The first job of a politician when faced with a crisis (not of his own making) is to get his face on camera and apportion blame. Cue Ken Salazar..........

Obama later came romping up to the camera to let everyone know he was in charge and on the case "First and foremost, what led to this disaster was a breakdown of responsibility on the part of BP and perhaps others, including Transocean and Halliburton," he said. Gosh he must be a real tiger in bed when his hackles are up!

........and finally the award for Expert on the Bleedin Obvious goes to the prat in the Whitehouse "And we will continue to hold the relevant companies accountable not only for being forthcoming and transparent about the facts surrounding the leak, but for shutting it down, repairing the damage it does, and repaying Americans who've suffered a financial loss,"
