Today in which Hillary Clinton, in her joint appearance with Obama, said: “Unity is not only a beautiful place; it’s also a wonderful feeling, isn’t it?

“What we build in Unity will end on the steps of the Capitol when Barack Obama takes the oath of office as our next president.”

Their clothes remind me of a movie I saw called "The Wedding Date" A lady hires an escort to attend a wedding with her. The escort’s job was to make her ex boyfriend jealous. On their way to meet them for the first time the hired date is wearing a tie that matches her dress too closely. She demands that he takes it off because it looks like they are trying to hard to look like a couple and match.

I wonder if who ever picked the pantsuit and tie ever saw The Wedding Date.

Rather stylish while at the same time symbolic, I thought. The tie and the pantsuit are the blue of the Democratic party, the same color the entire country is going to be come Nov.

A "potemkin village" tableau for the delectation of idiots. :D Reminds me of the chinese commie congresses where the government program is presented and everyone in the hall votes "yes" and applauds. :p

This is the last degrading act for Hillary, prostituting herself to get her campaign debts paid off. Sad.

Socialist Propaganda Pictures... should be the caption here.

Neither one has proposed one logical solution to any issue of value yet.

You forgot the picture of Hillary pulling back from Obama's final attempt at a full bear hug, her turning her back squarely on him and walking briskly off the stage leaving him there still with arms outstretched looking confused and befuddled like he'd just been jilted..

No need to be confused or saddened about yesterday's events at all. There's an old saying that the superdelegates need to revisit: "be careful what you wish for, you just might get it."

'nuff said.

it reminds me of the picture that they took of Obama in Oregon where they had 75,000 people pretending that they showed up for an Obama Rally...

There were 75,000 people who showed up to a free concert and the Obama rally preceded that event.

check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtN3hsITCok

The Decemberists were playing there before Obama. It was the first day of the year with temps above 80 degrees. The setting was perferct; The weather, the lake and a free concert and thousands of attendees under 30 years of age who don't know crap about the issues.

I have to give his campaing this; They're great at marketing and they know how to manipulate the media....

You have it only partly right. The Media was a willing confederate. BigMedia is owned and operated by the GOP. It was to their advantage to funnel huge $ through "grassroots" donors and help shamelessly promote Obama over their real enemy, Hillary Clinton.

They don't want people to remember that the Clintons had our country's strongest economy directly attributed to their efforts. It was to their advantage to help Obama paint out a picture of needing to change from the "big bad old Clintons." Now that he is firmly in place as the nominee, they will sharply cutoff funding for Obama's "grassroots" campaign and begin to disembowel him politically for a McCain/BigOil/GOP win this Fall after "October surprise" where McCain's military service will set him above Obama as the candidate of choice during a time of fear.

It's so simple a baby could see it. We adults kid ourselves that we're smart. But in putting on our politically-correct blinders we miss the obvious.

A fact the GOP banked on to swimming success..

It's a done-deal now. All we can do is sit back and watch the bloodbath. Good going DNC.

Largest One-Year Drop in Child Poverty in More than Three Decades.

Under President Clinton and Vice President Gore child poverty has dropped by 25.6 percent -- from 22.7 percent in 1993 to 16.9 percent in 1999. While this is still too high, it is the lowest child poverty rate since 1979 and includes the largest one-year decline since 1966, which occurred from 1998 to 1999. The African American child poverty rate has fallen 28.2 percent since 1993, and dropped from 36.7 percent in 1998 to 33.1 percent in 1999 -- the largest one-year drop in history and the lowest level on record (data collected since 1959). The Hispanic child poverty rate has fallen by 26 percent since 1993, and dropped from 25.6 percent in 1998 to 22.8 percent in 1999 -- the lowest level since 1979. Seven years ago this week, President Clinton and Vice President Gore's economic plan was enacted without a single Republican vote. Vice President Gore broke a tie on August 6, 1993 to pass the measure in the Senate and President Clinton signed the 1993 Budget Reconciliation into law four days later. Their bold, three-part strategy established fiscal discipline; invested in education, health care, science and technology; and opened foreign markets so that American workers have a fair chance to compete abroad. Passage of the economic plan was a historic turning point, reversing 12 years of trickle-down economics and turning the largest deficit in history into the largest budget surplus in history. It also committed the country to a path of fiscal discipline that helped unleash the productive potential of the American people, contributing to the longest economic expansion in history, including the creation of over 22 million jobs, the lowest unemployment and inflation rates in a generation, rising wages and the highest homeownership rates on record. Today, working families are enjoying the benefits of this comprehensive plan and the course of fiscal discipline it established. Source: http://www.ed.gov/PressReleases/08-2000/wh-0805.html

Elected President of the United States in 1992, and again in 1996, President Clinton was the first Democratic president to be awarded a second term in six decades. Under his leadership, the United States enjoyed the strongest economy in a generation and the longest economic expansion in U.S. history. President Clinton’s core values of building community, creating opportunity, and demanding responsibility resulted in unprecedented progress for America, including moving the nation from record deficits to record surpluses; the creation of over 22 million jobs—more than any other administration; low levels of unemployment, poverty and crime; and the highest homeownership and college enrollment rates in history. His accomplishments as president include increasing investment in education, providing tax relief for working families, helping millions of Americans move from welfare to work, expanding access to technology, encouraging investment in underserved communities, protecting the environment, countering the threat of terrorism and promoting peace and strengthening democracy around the world. His Administration’s economic policies fostered the largest peacetime economic expansion in history. Source: http://www.aarp.org/reinventing/bclinton.html

:) Just a terrible record the Clinton name...

Laugh while you can. You'll be crying if McCain or Obama take office.

Yeah, the economy did well in spite of Clinton's economic crap. Note how his presidency ended with a recession? Plus the economic boom started prior to him taking office. Basically facts tend to point out Clinton did nothing.

Plus, in case you missed it, the fiscal responsibilty didn't kick in until the '95 budget battle when Repugs contract with America required a balanced budget, which Clinton fought against the remainder of his pathetic girl romping terms.

Do you know as little about the Captain Underpants years, as you do about alternative energy and Big Oil? Clearly it's either less, or about the same.

Wow, when facts fail you, you resort to belittling.

Some people call that "trolling". You may have heard of it before. Let me post the facts again..

Any "recession" upon his leaving office was likely spun by the GOP to make dems look bad. What else could they do? Compete with his fiscal performance? No. So rearranging the facts to suit their spin was all that was left for them to do. This tactic is a failsafe for the GOP. And hence their infiltration via PSYOPs in mainstream media (see: PSYOPS CNN).

And when making up alternate realities doesn't work, they troll people who accurately bring up the past..

works like a charm eh?

Any "recession" upon his leaving office was likely spun by the GOP to make dems look bad.

No, I think they spun it to look good. You know all those good "recession" you have now and then. What?! You don't have to spin a recession to make it look bad. It is bad by nature.

Compete with his fiscal performance?

What fiscal performance? The economic system was setup by the prior administration. That's just a fact. That's why the economic incline started prior to Clinton taking office and playing with interns and cigars.

If you want to prove that Clinton helped the economy, show me what specific thing in the bill was a benefit. Hint: you can't.

And when making up alternate realities doesn't work, they troll people who accurately bring up the past..

I'm still waiting for you to be accurate about anything. I wish it brought people to the forum who were accurate about the past. Please, you can start being accurate about something any time now.

I've cited three of dozens of articles from non-Clinton sources espousing Bill Clinton's tenure in the Oval Office as sculpting and overseeing the strongest economy in US history. Because republicans desperately wanted this shining start wiped off his record...for obvous reasons..lol..they sing foul of Clinton "towards the end". "Towards the end" was Bush's gang coming in. Likely consumer confidence plummeted knowing a republican was coming into office. And what do you know? The prediction was correct. ;)

Birds of a feather flock together? Yeah, I can cite dozens that show how little an effect he had. The difference between my sources and yours?

My sources show actually legislation and what effect it had.
Yours show that Captain Underpants (C.U.) was in office and the economy was good... so it must have been connected. (note: no substance)

Just like your crazy conspiracies about BigOil, there is no factual basis. Just a classic circular logical fallacy. C.U. was president, and the economy was good. Therefore the economy was good, because C.U. was president. I'm sorry, but C.U. being sucked on by interns didn't improve the stock market or boost the GDP.

The article only vaguely states that C.U. wanted to...

"established fiscal discipline" which didn't happen until Repugs got control and had the contract with America.

"invested in education" Which didn't help according to research done at the time. The increase in student loans, was followed by a massive increase in tuition cost in nearly direct proportion.

"health care" Socialism, which thankfully was completely defeated.

"science and technology" which we have to thank for the Hydrogen scam, the Ethanol scam, and other wastes of our tax money.

"opened foreign markets so that American workers have a fair chance to compete abroad." NAFTA, which linked us with Mexico, and has caused thousands of jobs to go south of the boarder.

What is amazing is that our economy was so good despite C.U.'s attempts to kill it. Thank the Repugs for holding everything together during his 8 year romp session.
