I am very interested in Native American beliefs after reading about Einstein's thought on god
Quantum mechanics is very worthy of regard. But an inner voice tells me that this is not the true Jacob. The theory yields much, but it hardly brings us close to the secrets of the Ancient One. In any case, I am convinced that He does not play dice.
From my basic understanding some Indian beliefs all things have a form of a internal spirit its considered animism in one form or another

I vaguely reminds me of what Einstein said .

How it got started Is beyond my ability's to reason . However I think it sort of a door way into mans mind and how we developed a sense of right and wrong
