For ridiculous reason it's assumed Australia is full of communists.
People in USA think that a liberal govt is the same there as here when in fact it's exactly the opposite.
The Labor party is supposedly the left and liberal party are the right.
People still believe that but they never bother to check anyway.
Obviously, Australia is not ruled by Communists. Voting is a requirement, so turnout is high. If you don't vote, you pay a fine. Not a bad idea at all.
Lots of silly Trumplings believe that the Democrats want to return to slavery and Jim Crow. But knowledge in the US about foreign country's politics is not very good. I do not pretend to understand Aussie politics. But the country seems well run, as do Canada and New Zealand.
