I have no political reason for posting this. I've been lucky to have been able to be in Munich twice for Oktoberfest and unless you're a complete teatotaller you really should go at least once in your life.

Those who aren't able to take part in the 16-day Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, beginning Saturday can celebrate the tradition at Epcot.
The Germany pavilion at Epcot celebrates Oktoberfest every week of the year inside the Biergarten Restaurant.
Guests can enjoy bratwurst, sauerkraut, pork schnitzel and spaetzle while listening to the Oktoberfest Musikanten play various polkas and waltzes.
The bandleader, Martin Gross, has been with the group for all of the 30 years of its existence.
"You never know what you are going to get. There are some audiences that just sit and watch, and when they come down and join us we really get involved," said Gross. "We do the birdie dance."
Joining the band 10 years after Gross, Austrian-born accordion player Edi Hadner says the people who visit the restaurant love the music.
"The people get into the spirit of mountain music, alpine music," said Hadner.

I've been to ones here run by the German community, great fun and a great time. Can only be exponen tially better there. Can't get truly authentic sausage here, againt the law. Of course with the worldwide shortage of pigs you may not be able to get them there either : (

Authentic sausage against the law? Comon,,,Ur pulling my leg here. I can get real authentic german sausage in Florida. But,,theyre too expensive .

ask the sausage maker down there in the sunshine state, if he understands gernam sausage he'll tell you its similar, similar as he can get with the FDA regulations. you probably don't want to know what the difference is, its not a pretty picture but tastes great.

FDA has been making traditional european techniques illegal for many generations.

We have a German place here called "Alpine Village". They are a pretty authentic place. Food, music, etc.
