the "most moral army in the world" shown to be a callous killer of hospital patients
"...The Associated Press revealed yesterday that “Israel has provided little evidence of the presence of Hamas fighters in hospitals targeted in Gaza in many cases.”
As part of an extensive investigation conducted by the US-based agency over several months, testimonies were collected regarding Israeli air strikes that targeted Al-Awda, Indonesian and Kamal Adwan hospitals in Gaza. The probe included interviews with over 30 patients, witnesses and workers in medical and humanitarian fields, alongside consultations with Israeli occupation officials.
It concluded that Israel provided little evidence of Hamas fighters’ presence in these medical facilities.
AP noted that the spokesperson for the Israeli occupation’s military declined to comment on a list of incidents related to Israeli attacks on Gaza hospitals, stating that the military “is unable to comment on specific events.”
Since Israel launched its bombing campaign on Gaza on 7 October 2023, the Israeli military has deliberately targeted hospitals and healthcare facilities, leaving them non-operational and putting the lives of patients and injured civilians at risk, according to Palestinian and United Nations reports.
Over the past month, the Israeli military has repeatedly bombed the Kamal Adwan, Al-Awda, Indonesian and Al-Yemen Al-Saeed hospitals in northern Gaza as part of what has been described as a campaign of “genocide” in the region.
On 26 October, the Israeli military withdrew from Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza after a two-day incursion that caused extensive internal and external destruction to the building and its facilities. Israeli occupation forces detained hundreds of patients, medical staff, and displaced persons and interrogated the hospital’s director, Dr Husam Abu Safiya. It then detained the medical staff and left the hospital with only its director, three nurses and a paediatrician.
