When Obama came to Eugene the first time my brother in law went to see him and he went early so he could be up close.  He said they moved people around, removing black people and putting in white people and removing young people and putting old people in key locations, giving certain people signs to hold exc. They did not have to move my brother in law.  He is a typical white person of the correct age.

It was his first rally; actually this is his first year he will vote.  He didn’t know what to expect but found it odd that he they that.  Obama took no questions from the audience in his rally.  Gave a speech, praised the Ducks and moved on to the next city.

He went to the Clinton rally a few weeks later and said it was amazingly different. She spent a lot of her time taking questions.  (One of the people she took questions from was a person who works for the same company I do)  It was a first come first serve in seating; no one was picked or placed in any particular locations.

So it seems Obama has been doing this for a while, maybe since his campaign began.

As a side note, I am pretty sure my brother in law is going to vote for Obama in the general election so the strategically placing people in key locations didn’t bother him much I would assume.
