flynn and Greene believe these crazy conspiracies but they call climate change a hoax.

Climate change caused this. It's exactly what scientists have been saying will happen ever since the 90s yet since then, the right calls it all a hoax and fake science.

Climate change does not cause hurricanes, but it does cause the ocean to be warmer and that affects the severity and perhaps the trajectory of hurricanes. Climate change needs to be dealt with and the main impediments to doing this are Big Oil, China and India. Idiots like DiSantis and Trump think that all we have to do is ban the use of using the words "climate change".

I should have been more clear.

I meant that scientists have been saying since the 90s that climate change will cause the storms to be more frequent and much stronger causing more devastation.

No climate change didn't cause the hurricane. It caused it to be much worse than it would have been had climate change not existed.

Climate change did cause the hurricanes to be more frequent. As in this one happened a couple weeks after Helene.
