you don't understand what the word "recorded" means, do you? lol.


perhaps there have been many hotter days in the history of the earth, millions or billons of years ago..but..they weren't.."recorded' lol



and yes, there is nothing incompatable with the hottest average global temperature being recent and a single recording of a single day in a single spot being a hundred years ago. duh.  weather vs climate.


and of course maybe yesterday in some other spot on the world without a thermometer it was actually 140 degrees an a new record, which is why, again, climate deals with global averages from many spots, not a single spot.
