The facts of the "curse of Ham" are clearly stated in the Bible. You will find them repeated in every defense of slavery that the Confederates offered. Black people are a cursed race, and were therefore only fit for doing menial servile tasks. Slavery was part of God's plan.

In the New Testament, there is no mention of Black or White races, and Jesus apparently thought that slavery was just dandy, he had nary a word against it. Later, along comes Paul and Paul instructs slaves, even abused slaves, to obey their masters.
