TRIPOLI, Libya (AP) — The Libyan man convicted in the 1988 Lockerbie bombing attended a pro-Gadhafi rally, and Libyan state TV images showing the bomber in a wheelchair in a crowd in Tripoli revived criticism in Britain on Wednesday of the decision to grant him early release on medical grounds.
Abdel Baset al-Megrahi's presence at Tuesday's rally appeared to be another sign of defiance by the embattled regime of Moammar Gadhafi, locked in a civil war with anti-government rebels for the past five months.
Britain officially recognized Libya's main opposition group as the country's legitimate government and expelled all diplomats from Gadhafi's regime on Wednesday.
Al-Megrahi was convicted in the 1988 downing of a Pan Am plane that killed 270 people, most of them Americans, over Lockerbie, Scotland. He was released from a Scottish prison in 2009 after being diagnosed with prostate cancer, and at the time was given three months to live. Al-Megrahi returned to a hero's welcome in Libya later that year.

Now i want Obama to punish England. Tell the British PM to compensate 10 Billion dollars to the victims familes of the Lockerbie attack. If they dont pay then Americas will boycott the 2012 games in london. You see nations depend the olympics to bring them economic success. You see the 1980 Russian game boycotts hurt russian economy back in 1980. You see they want to see the Americans compete. American olympic team in the games is like Fans watching Jeter & AROD in baseball. Just like when the Yankees come to your team the ballpark gets sold out right? They didnt buy tickets to see the Yankees, They came to see Jeter & AROD. Now how the tickets gonna get sold in london if the Americans dont come? So we can put pressure on London because they made the mistake freed Al-Megrahi. Now they compensate the victims families
