Well he's not a satirist... he appears to be one of those converted evangelist types. They see a theocracy as a good thing and the fact that the more Liberal people kinda like that whole separation of church & state thing bugs him no end. So he goes to the other extreme. Plus I think it makes him feel tough constantly attacking the President of the United States of America. A shame really... but sometimes hearing the bizarreness of a persons positions helps other stay away from doing the same. So that may be an upside.
