In general - I agree. Benefits I'm thinking of include taxes, healthcare, pensions, hospital visitation for immediate family etc.About maternity....I don't know. Some countries accord "family leave" to husbands who's wives had babies...sometimes it's shared. I know of married woman who got "maternity leave" upon adopting a baby.What about lesbian women?
