J.D. Vance's autobiography that seems to account for his popularity is available on Netflix. The basic plot is tracing the lives of J.D and his sister through a very long period of bad parenting from their often drug addicted and crazy mother from their pre teens until JD lands a summer job with some snooty law firm at Yale. He pretty much ignores his Marine Corps traininq and his college career at Ohio State. It seems to be a fair attempt at explaining how he manged to end up a Yale graduate.
It is worth watching. I grew up in Missouri and lived for four years in WV, and I didn't see where his being from Appalachia was all that much a handicap.
Vance is clearly not stupid, and his claim that he once thought Trump was an American Hitler and a conman was changed by the wonderation that he brought to the presidency.
If I were Trump, I would watch my back, I do not deem J.D, Vance actually believes the wacko transformational tale that he tells regarding Trump.
