You can divide these immigrants into two categories.

If they are gainfully employed and paying taxes, then they BENEFIT our country.
If they cost more in benefits than they pay in taxes, then they do not.
They cannot vote unless and until they are citizens. They have to pay to become citizens and not all are eligible.
There is NO plan to enable them to apply for citizenship.
Perhaps some may marry a citizen.
If they pay into Social Security and are not citizens, then they cannot get more money back from SS than they put in.
Being as our county scheduled an inflation rate of 2%, those who do not become citizens will lose value of the money paid into SS.
