Around one in every 500 Americans was experiencing homelessness in January 2023. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) counted 653,104 homeless Americans in its annual point-in-time report, which measures homelessness across the US on a single night each winter. That’s a 12.1% increase from the same report in 2022.

Yes its gone up under Biden to bad we are not helping those of them that want help instead of millions of illegals , in Cali they have made it illegal for the homeless to sleep on the street and they broke up all their camps telling then to leave and go Where ?
Some job training and medical help and a shelter could turn some of these into good product full citizens but to democrats it ok to put illegals first and American second or third

No president in history has ever had the power to set the price of homes, leases or rents.
No Congress or Supreme Court has, either. There are three branches of government, and none of them sets the price of any real estate except what it sells.

The economy of this country depends on constant growth. This means that growth depends on the ability to acquire raw materials and the ability to process them with labor and capital into goods and services that can be sold.

The citizens of this country are aging and are having many fewer children, so either we import labor, or we figure out a way to enable our people to prosper without a need for growth. Raw materials are not inexhaustible, we will run out of petroleum, gas, and coal. We could run out of water in some parts of the country. The wind will continue to blow, the tides will continue to take place, the Sun will continue to shine.

There is certainly a need for more houses to be built in our country, especially those that can be afforded by the majority of the people. We need fewer Trump Towers and McMansions and more Terrytowns.
