Thanks to the brilliant leftists idiots on this forum, we have been preoccupied with more important topics like how Sarah Palin signs a letter, or the latest tabloid sex scandal.

However on the apparently unimportant policy front, the latest numbers show that not only has has unemployment reached the 9% mark Obama promised it would never hit, but it has no surpassed that to 9.5% as of June.

But don't worry, Obama hasn't left us with nothing. He has successfully obliterated Bush's record deficit spending, with a new $1.84 Trillion dollar deficit. The previous record was $445 Billion.

The deficit is so high, and debt increasing so much, that now foreign companies are worried about investing in the US. But that hasn't stopped the ambitions of Obama.

Not content with is current list of failures, Obama has vowed to fight on for more unfunded spending for a socialized health care so that he can kill off people while taxing them to death, and leaving the debt to their decedents.

You forgot to celebrate the fact that today's unemployment rate is the highest that it's been in 26 years. Yay!!! Those who will work are losing jobs, and those who won't....still won't.

Every day this ***** is in office reminds me of the Carter years. Before he's done (unless Congress finally grows a brain and impeaches him and deports his sorry butt back to Kenya where he belongs), we'll have double digit inflation, double digit interest rates, and double digit unemployment....AGAIN.

One thing's for certain though, the libtards will still try to blame it on President Bush just like they still try to blame the Depression on Hoover and steadfastly refuse to acknowlege that FDR took a bad situation and made it FAR worse! Democraps never study, or learn from, their history, which is why they consistantly repeat the same mistakes over, and over, and over again.

Bob, you seem to be fairly new around here. Been reading some of your posts, and find that I agree with much that you say. In substance, even if not wholly in style... ;)

That said, a word to the wise: Don't confuse the natives here with facts. They don't do well with them. And certainly don't try to use reason or common sense, at least with some. The ones that are totally a lost cause will become patently obvious in short order, and those are the ones that little "Ignore" list is for...

Belatedly, Welcome!

It's actually much worse than 26 years ago.
GM used to employee hundreds thousands of employees alone.
Unions hadn't crippled the best businesses.

Obama is creating a permanently unemployed work force. Lets hope
people realize soon, his spending and socialism is the problem, and that
he needs to go.

How much damage that he and his administration have caused so far is reversible do you think?

I have read that if we can get another president who will reverse the spending in 4 years that we won’t be in nearly the debt because much of the spending allocated is not going to actually be spent till his second term. I don’t know if that is true.

Personally I feel like it’s all a lost cause and too much damage has been done to fix. I hope I am wrong.

Its like watching the Ship get run into a reef....watching it sink....Then passing on he leadership to someone else and saying I hit the reef, but you where in charge when it was sinking so its your fault if it goes under....

When will any of your mindless drones ever catch up to the fact BUSH Screwed over this Econ....and put a little blame where its due? you know the one in charge when it all fell apart, not the guy charged with trying to fix it

Now six months later, and $10 Trillion more in debt, and you are still droning on about Bush? Funny how when people cite specific legislation that Clinton signed in the 1990s that caused the current economic downturn, you poo hoo that because Clinton is gone, and Bush was there. Now the situation is reversed, and suddenly blaming past presidents fashionable. I think there is a word for that.... what was it again? Started with an "h" if I remember.... oh! Right! HYPOCRITE!

Better still, your whole post is a red herring, and irrelevant. This isn't even about who started it. Obama spent $10 Trillion dollars, and jacked up the deficit on the theory that his policy would restore the economy and prevent the massive unemployment we're having RIGHT NOW.

So how about you drop your bigotry, open your eyes, and realize he's a failure. It's like crashing your car, and having a crap president tell us that if we just get $10 Trillion dollars in repairs put on our national credit card, everything will be fine. Instead the car catches on fire, and falls into a mile deep sink hole. Then have some stupid zealot fan boy in the back start jumping up and down saying "Bush did it! Bush did it!".

Pandora - I believe the US has entered a situation, that could have been avoided.
I believe the economy is never going to recover to what it was under Clinton
or Bush.

Spending loads of money when revenues are drying up, is foolish.
Tax Revenues will decrease more than 35% this year in the US as the result
of the loss of jobs and Obama's policies.

I'm afraid the porkulous money may get spent before people wake up.
I'm worried that the US unemployment rate will remain in double digits and
certain people will remain unemployed forever. The country is experiencing
a permanent decline!

Obama can't create real jobs, he can only lie and provide false hope.
He can only blame Bush!

Obama plans on spending even more, not less. Sales taxes, healthcare taxes, etc will be levied on the middle class, that is quickly disappearing.

Yes Obama still talks about how wealthy America is, which I find quite revealing and scary.

It's called CHANGE!

I am afraid you are even more pessimistic than I am, which is a feat. The economy will recovered without question... *depending* on whether we allow the federal government to continue on a socialistic path. If we cut bloated government spending, cut government intervention, reduce burdensome regulations, the economy will undoubtedly recover.

If we pass more regulations, more controls, more restrictions, more spending money, print more money, increase taxes to pay more debt (which is the current direction) then you may be right.

6 months....You dont Start with a econ that has the banks going under, the auto industry failing, the housing market destoryed.....and Fix it in 6 months?: Have you ever taken a econ class, or anything?

and newsflash brainchild, I never liked Clinton, and 8 years of policy is not the same as 6 months. your ignorance is amazing

I feel like there is little hope. I work for the almighty government, I probably will always have a job but I am thinking about bills about to pass. I almost have my house paid for but my plan was not always to stay in this house.

If this cap and trade passes, I wont be able to sell my house without making it "green" so that takes away from what I would have used to buy a new house. Buying the new house won’t be affordable because I won’t be able to buy from someone else till they blew a bunch making it "green" and if they do that they will have to sell it for more than I can afford since I will have spent most of my money making my old house "green"

I feel like I am going to be stuck in this place till I die and that is depressing.

I can’t sell sooner because the market sucks.

Ill never be able to save 25 cents if they pass a VAT tax and or increase my energy costs like obama is promising he will do.

That is the stuff that is depressing me.

Oh I see... So when Obama and his team of economic experts released their report claiming we needed to spend $10 Trillion dollars in order to save the economy, and that with it our unemployment rate will never hit 8%....

We should have just concluded that Obama, and his team, were complete uneducated bold faced liars? I AGREE!

Newsflash bigot, this is the chart that OBAMA put out... not me.

Are you saying Obama was completely wrong and his plan, according to his own works was foolish? Get a clue. I'm not the one who said his plan would fix anything in any time frame. Obama said this. If you want to claim someone didn't get an education in economic, blame the one who made this idiotic claim.
