Chris Christie lawyers clear him, blame aides in bridge dispute

Lawyers hired by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie have cleared him of wrongdoing in the massive traffic jam at the foot of the George Washington Bridge, concluding that it was just one more “crazy idea” by one of Christie’s loyalists, motivated by a deep and mysterious grudge against a Democratic mayor.

The report, immediately dismissed by Democrats as an attempt to extricate Christie from a political jam, had some fresh revelations: It said David Wildstein, who ordered the four-day closure of bridge access roads in Fort Lee, claimed to other aides last year that he told Christie about the traffic problems while they were happening; the governor has insisted he never found out until after they were over.

But the report concluded that Wildstein’s story wasn’t credible, and laid nearly all the blame on just two people: Wildstein, a longtime Christie associate who had a political job at the bridge authority, and Bridget Anne Kelly, Christie’s deputy chief of staff at the time.

And the Media jumped the gun before checking the facts. Unlike when Democrats light up a scandal the media wont report it like they ignored the I.R.S scandal. Christie has fired his staff unlike Obama he looks the other way and doesn't know about the fast and the and furious, I.R.S targeting, NSA wiretapping Americans and Benghazi cover up scandals.

Eric Holder is still the Attorney General
Kathleen Sebelius is still the Secretary of Health and Human Services
Lois Learner has an $100,000 retirement salary.
Susan Rice got promoted to Secretary of state

Christie is definitely not my top "dog" politically. However, his forceful denial of complicity in bridge-gate makes me think he's telling the truth. If nothing else, Christie is no dummy. If he was involved in any way, it will eventually come out, and his career ruined. Unlike Obama and Holder, Christie hasn't used carefully nuanced words to deny his complicity. He's literally roared that he knew nothing about this. As a highly experienced prosecutor, he wouldn't be so stupid to forcefully deny something unless the denial was factually indisputable.

I hear what youresaying but if he was really that sharp he wouldnt hire lawyers of his choice to clear himself. Its a dopey thing to do.

You mean the 'hatchet job' that the left tried to do on Hillary's main oppositions wasn't successful?

Amazing, huh? Kinda like the fact that Hillary's camp was the source that started all the confusion about Obama's eligibility because he was born in Kenya.

Now we're getting it.

There is a reason 5 months later this story is still in the news. Nothing in the news about all the dems that just went down for everything from fraud to gun smuggling to child porn, nothing in the news about the IRS scandal and Issa about to hold Lois Learner in contempt.

And, moreover, don't think that this bridgegate scandal didn't affect Christie's chances. It did and he will be the Republican candidate the GOP runs. I think intentionally, to make sure Hillary gets in .....
