God forbids astrology, yet uses astrology for prophecy

Actually, tsunamis come from earthquakes but not hurricanes. However, though, magnetic forces (coming from space) affect tectonic plates and also the weather (hurricanes), so astrology seems to be useful, though, uncontrollable. Ironically, though, the Bible claims it's a sin to consult astrologers when the same book also links God's prophecies with eclipses etc.. Anyway, that's one for "The Snake" (Gnostic)

OK, that makes sense. But definitely, astronomy has an effect on natural disasters via the effect on magnetism (tectonic plates, ocean tides).

Astronomy simply notes what's out there and what it's doing. It controls nothing.
