A new study contradicts what we have been told about the effect of global warming on hurricanes. It has been a long standing theory that global warming will cause stronger hurricanes by making the oceans warmer and feeding the hurricanes while they are in open water. This new study says that glabal warming will also increase wind shear. Wind shear prevents a hurricane from organizing its circulation, and prevents developement and intensification.
