We have experienced both periods of warming and of cooling. Currently, we're cooling. Analyzing supporting data for the SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio), our latest high peak isn't the highest we've experienced within the Holocene. The big question is what drives these excursions because you can't blame CO2.
