What were the leaders of our revolution talking about at the time? It was the enlightenment era, where people were coming to understand the importance of individual rights and the need to limit government to prevent tyrrany and oppression. What are the opposition leaders of the Egyptian riots talking about? Well, the largest opposition group is the Muslim Brotherhood:




You think hard core "right wing" religious fundamentalists in the US seek to establish an oppressive Christian theocracy... But in Egypt, you pretend that a Muslim organization with the stated goal of creating an Islamic state ruled by Sharia law (No rights for women, the legal murder of gays etc.) will actually result in a fair and just democratic society where the rights of all are protected and people are treated as equals.
