Here, once again, we find an interesting idea that no one bothers to do the math on.  Minimum Wage increases have statistically done more damage to lower income wage earners.  In three separate studies (Australia, Germany, & U.S), there was a net negative gain in wages earned by poverty level workers in the two years after an increase to minimum wage standards.  Minimum Wage prevents unskilled workers from competing for jobs on price.

 

Instead of extending unemployment, why don't we create real jobs in the private sector?
