All this time I thought Scalia was telling Clarence how to vote.....turns out it appears to have been his wife.

The new conservative advocacy group launched by Virginia Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, has close ties to Washington's powerful conservative legal community.

As the Los Angeles Times reported over the weekend, Virginia Thomas recently created Liberty Central, a new lobbying group that seeks to tap into the grassroots energy unleashed by the Tea Party movement.

---------

During the 1990s, Virginia Thomas served as a top aide to Majority Leader Dick Armey. In that role, she helped quarterback the aggressive GOP effort to use congressional investigations to stymie the Clinton administration, and in 1996 prepared an "assault book," listing a slew of Clinton administration "scandals" for GOP House members to capitalize on in the upcoming election. And as the LA Times notes, while at the conservative Heritage Foundation in 2000, she helped recruit staff for the incoming Bush administration, even as Clarence Thomas was hearing Bush v. Gore, in which he ultimately ruled in Bush's favor. At the time, Virginia Thomas denied that a conflict of interest existed, saying "we have our separate professional lives."

Yeah, sure Virginia..you and Clarence have completely "separate professional lives." I bet you never discuss cases before the Supreme Court either...sure I believe that.

It would seem that Uncle Clarence is walking a very fine line.....not very professional is he? Could it be because he wasn't qualified for the job to begin with?

Poor little popeye.

He had to hold his silence for years, over 9th Circus Court of Appeals judge Stephen Reinhardt's wife, who was HEAD OF THE ACLU for many years. No, poor little popeye couldn't say a thing about that "not very professional" association. It was going in favor of the liberal extremists he worships!

Not until a conservative judge was in the same situation, did he dare speak up, confident that people would think he was against "not very professional" associations, and that they wouldn't realize he was simply trying to destroy a conservative instead.

Poor little popeye.

Busted again.

The only one busted is you..

Why do you go around posting the exact same copy and paste job from forum to forum? For example:

Here: https://www.houseofpolitics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10894

And there:

http://www.arguewitheveryone.com/ge...ss-socialized-health-care-no-matter-what.html

http://www.city-data.com/forum/poli...ocrats-drive-pass-socialized-health-care.html

Or here:

https://www.houseofpolitics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10893

And there:

http://www.city-data.com/forum/poli...22825-5th-state-exempts-its-guns-federal.html

Mind you, these are just a few examples. Many of us post in more than one place....but to just copy posts (actually thread starters) from one place to another demonstrates a distinct lack of imagination and/or intelligence. Just about what I would expect from someone like you..

Oh, and btw....Uncle Clarence is a SC Justice....comparing his and his wife's actions to those of a 9th Circuit judge is not a good analogy. FAIL

Poor little popeye.

Looks like he can't refute the facts... except to wail, "No, it's not right!" and change the subject as quickly as he can.

All the while hoping that people won't notice the striking similarity between the situations of Reinhardt and his wife (which little popeye carefully ignored), and Thomas and his wife (over which poor little popeye is screaming in feigned outrage).

Poor little popeye....! :D

The SC has become way too politicized...on both sides. However, you have yet to come up with anything that compares with Thomas's wife actually working for Bush in 2000, while at the same time the SC was basically deciding who our next president would be.

What Virginia Thomas does may not be illegal, but it gives the appearance of impropriety...A SC justice should be above that. If Clarence Thomas had any pride in the position he holds, he wouldn't allow it to go on..

Busted... yet again! And every subsequent time he tries to re-assert the same crapola, hoping people won't notice he's already been debunked!

Poooor little popeye!
