have you seen the sacrifices they make in order to be able to buy that food and send money home? I'm asking because I want to know, not because of sarcasm: have you spent some real time in the south? Enough time to see first hand the lives these illegals live? We get a lot of illegals working on the tobacco farms. They will stuff more people in a single home than you can count. Literally, yes, you can count them. But not on 2 hands. It will take at least 3 hands. And they eat less in a day, as a group, than some people eat in just one meal. They aren't living the good life... not at all.No one should ever be expected to work 12 hour days, for pennies and popcorn, and not live a better life than those guys. I understand not wanting illegals to benefit from the money the American workers pay into our government. Regardless of my personal opinion, thats one of those issues that most people can agree on. But why should the American citizens have to live under those conditions? They have been paying taxes into the government, too. Should they not be entitled to get help from that same government when they need it? Especially when all they want is to feed their families FOOD. Not drugs, alcohol, abortions, cars, houses, deoderant, soap, eye glasses, or anything else that isn't food.
Some poor people cheat the system. But not anymore than the rich do EVERY FREAKIN DAY, while eating their 1000$ plates of lobster and patte.
The fact is, if you want to stop welfare, you need to stop ALL of it... not just the poor people. Until then, certain "posts" who want to stop it ONLY for poor people are going to come across as arrogant, mean, vile, diseased, evil, ugly little trolls.
