Faith starts with a belief, then tries to find facts to support that belief.  Science starts with facts, then develops an hypothesis to fit the facts, then tests that hypothesis, refines it when new facts are found.  Faith just continues with the same belief.


That science is the same as faith is absurd.  As a chemist, you must know that. 


Do you think electricity works because we believe it does?  How about that computer you're working on, does that require faith?  If you have total faith in it, but there is a software error somewhere, will it continue to work?


What you, or anyone else chooses to believe does not change reality.
