That is the nature of science. If some element of a theory is found to be incorrect, the current element is changed to accommodate the new discovery. No so with religious based beliefs. If something contradicts with established dogma, the new evidence is denounced as the work of the devil, or discounted. Science is willing to explore, learn, and change. Would you have it any other way? Or, do you take the story of Adam and Eve and all the animals that ever existed were created in one day seriously?
