The Biblical God wanted a perfect world, but the people he populated it with were sinful and evil, so he flooded the planet and saved only eight survivors. Apparently, he was unaware that he had the power to create epidemic diseases, so all that shlepping about with penguins, polar bears and kangaroos and wallabies was a waste of effort.


Hitler wanted a perfect Aryan world, but it had Jews in it, so he dedicated himself to exterminating every last one of them.

The one sure thing about this war is that both the Israelis and the Palestinians will be the losers. They will lose their homes, their lives, and their reputations. The only certainty is that neither side can expel or destroy the other, and they will continue to live at war until they learn how to live together in peace.

The Biblical God often took sides in ancient times, according to the myths. But they are only myths. Biblical God allegedly made the ultimate sacrifice to save humankind, and by the sixth or seventh centuries CE, most of the territory in the Middle East was dominated by Christians. And what did the Biblical God do when the Muslims conquered the entire area, imposing their heretical religion on everyone? NOTHING!

This clearly seems like the Biblical God just gave up on saving all the souls in the "Holy Land". He just strolled away, leaving the place strewn with minarets where prayers were said five times a day to Allah.

The Biblical God could have helped the European Christians that retook Jerusalem and ruled it for a century or two. But no, none of that. Nor was Biblical God there for his Chosen People all through the Middle Ages right up to the Holocaust.
