You Can Tell The Bush-Years Are OVER!!

When you're not actively seeking-out others' opinions....especially from the folks-in-the-room who're supposed to be advising you....that's pretty-damned-stupid.

George Bush wanted to play CEO, instead.

Actually he listened to many people. One of the reasons that Iraq spiraled out of control, was because he listened to idiots telling him not to over power, not to flood Iraq with troops. Then he started listening General Petraeus who had been pushing for more troops for a while.

It's actually ironic that the leftist idiots all claim Bush didn't listen to advice, but point to events where he did listen to others advice, as being examples where he didn't.

But then, the left has never been known for their intelligence.

REGARDLESS!

RECENT WALL STREET JOURNAL POLL OF AMERICANS

Favorable of the Republican Party - 26%

Favorable of President Obama - 68%

Thinks Democrats will do better on fixing the recession - 48%

Thinks Republicans would do better on fixing the recession - 20%

Read that... The American people know the Republicants, just can't!

"Federal prosecutors filed a notice in federal court Sunday evening declaring its intent to seek the forfeiture of a wide swath of property owned by Bernard L. Madoff and his wife, Ruth.http://dealbook.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/03/16/government-files-notice-seeking-madoff-assets/?hp

Listed in the two-page notice are the Madoffs’ homes in Manhattan, Montauk, N.Y., Palm Beach, Fla. and the Antibes in France. Prosecutors are also seeking their interests in Cohmad Securities, a securities firm under investigation by the state of Massachusetts, and a Wachovia bank account in Ruth Madoff’s name holding more than $17 million."

Not sure where you get from that he ignored other viewpoints.
I digress.

He ignored people who didn't agree with him.

"I remember many times when Bush was in office wondering who the hell was running the country. Then he would appear somewhere in front of a handpicked audience to utter some banalities or say something utterly stupid and I would be reminded.

I don't miss him."

How has Obama helped us again? Oh that's right he did tell them that they could not do this with this money(AIG) but somehow everyone in his administration was too stupid to see this one coming. Nice work again Obama the next 4 years can not go fast enough.

"Hi, my name is Barrack Obama. I not the president but I play one on T.V"

That puts it all into perspective

How has Obama helped us again?
Tooooooooooooooooooooooooo easy!!

"The number of probes by the Federal Bureau of Investigation into corporate fraud and mortgage fraud is growing by the month.

FBI Deputy Director John Pistole told a House panel Friday that the bureau has more than 2,000 open investigations into mortgage fraud as well as 566 corporate-fraud investigations.

Mr. Pistole said 43 of those corporate-fraud investigations involve "matters directly related to the current financial crisis."

Those numbers are all larger than those Mr. Pistole offered to a Senate committee last month.

Comparing Mr. Pistole's testimony Friday with the data he gave to the Senate Judiciary Committee in February, it appears the FBI has opened 36 new corporate-fraud investigations and 200 new mortgage-fraud investigations in recent weeks.http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123756681453396825.html"

"An editorial by President Barack Obama calling for global economic cooperation ran in 31 papers around the world Tuesday, from Madrid to the Czech Republic to Riyadh.

"My message is clear," Obama wrote. "The United States is ready to lead, and we call upon our partners to join us with a sense of urgency and common purpose. Much good work has been done, but much more remains."

His editorial comes just a day after comments from Zhou Xiaochuan, governor of the People’s Bank of China, arguing that the American dollar should be replaced with a "super-currency" as a global reserve currency. China currently holds more than a trillion dollars of US debt.

Obama didn't mention the dollar by name in his piece, but noted that "America bears our share of responsibility for the mess that we all face."

yeah. That is where we are heading with obama. No more freedoms.

Shaman, you may want a new currency, and a new global government, but there are a whole hell of a lot of us who don't

Maybe you (simply) need to put more emphasis on homework....and, leave poilitics to adults.

"A federal judge on Friday sentenced the founder of a failed health-care financing company to 30 years in prison for orchestrating what prosecutors called the biggest fraud on record at a privately-held company in the United States.

U.S. District Court Judge Algenon L. Marbley said that Lance Poulsen of National Century Financial Enterprises deserved a much harsher sentence than any of his co-defendants because of his role as "puppet master" of the $1.7 billion fraud.

Defense attorney Peter Anderson said Poulsen was disappointed and will appeal. Another Poulsen attorney, William Terpenning, said he fears a trend of the government turning such cases, for political reasons, into criminal prosecutions, when they previously would have been civil matters before the Securities and Exchange Commission."

Sorry, pal!

The BUSH YEARS are OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:p

"Daniel Reifsnyder, a 25-year State Department veteran, knew even before President Obama was elected that U.S. environmental policy was going to change. So in early November, he called a couple of his Environmental Protection Agency counterparts about drafting documents to lay the groundwork for endorsing a treaty to curb global emissions of toxic mercury.

The Bush administration had resisted proposals for a United Nations-sponsored mercury treaty since at least 2005 on the grounds that voluntary measures were sufficient, but Reifsnyder told his fellow career officials that they had an opportunity to quickly formulate a new U.S. position in time for an upcoming meeting in Nairobi. They knew that as a senator, Obama had sponsored legislation banning the export of mercury overseas and that he was likely to be sympathetic to the treaty proposal.

The rapid policy reversal is just one of more than a dozen environmental initiatives the new administration has undertaken in its first two months. In nearly every case, the decisions were based on extensive analysis and documentation that rank-and-file employees had prepared over the past couple of years, often in the face of contrary-minded Bush administration officials."
