What makes you think I "defend Islam vehemently?"

I do not defend Islam more than I defend ANY religions. . .which is not at all. I often stated that I do not believe in ANY religions, and that, although I respect the right of people to choose to belong and to believe in whatever religion they choose, I also believe that, in general, religion does more harm than good, and that ALL religions are man-made.

I also often state that I believe that there are good and bad people in every walk of life, every religion, every country, every political belief, every race. . .Ad therefore I will ALWAYS defend a group that is attacked under one "umbrella", whether it is religion, race, or political party.

I do not believe that Islam has done more harm than any other religion.

Extremism, everywhere, every place, in every form is ALWAYS wrong and destructive.

Evangelical extremists, White Supremacists, KKK, Nazis, ISIS, Talibans. . .all of them are dangerous and destructive. And still, I believe that, individuals in all these groups may exist who are not truly evil, at least not to the core.
