US consider Karimov’s enemies as terrorists

Lately US added three men allegedly from the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan and the Islamic Jihad Union to the list of terrorists. Another one was arrested in US for aiding the IJU. Many became anxious about such suspicious activity because it seems that Washington helps Karimov to wipe out his enemies and even hand over dissidents to him. The goal is clear, US want continue collaborating with Uzbekistan and use its territory as a part of an overland supply route to Afghanistan known as the Northern Distribution Network. In 2000 Uzbekistan let CIA using country’s airfields for launching UAVs that fly over Afghanistan and in return US declared the IMU a terrorist organization. Later Karimov frequently used it to raid people whom he called Islamic elements. An official from State Department anonymously said that it was done in return for Karimov’s loyalty. Now Obama’s administration will provide Uzbekistan with some counter-terrorism supplies... It’s not a coincidence, it’s another pay for Uzbek dictator’s allegiance. But whom Uzbekistan and America will fight? The real terrorists from the IMU and IJU are under direct control of Uzbek intelligence agencies that use them to destabilize the nearby states while the people who were treated like terrorists are rights advocates or Karimov’s enemies, victims of US-Uzbek shady dealings!
