Today I listened to Obama give his stump speech in Ohio. You know it really scared me. I'm old enough to remember the rallies of another madman ,Adolph Hitler. Hitler too was a very smooth orator, he could tell vicious lies and never blink. He could turn race against race and incite violence. those in the present day democrat party promise violence if Obama should lose. Joe Biden even says we will have a crises if Obama wins ,Jim carvel , calls for violences , cities will burn if Obama is beaten. America faces a dangerous foe to our Constitution. Obama says America has been wrong , his "change" is to DESTROY our Constitutional Law and replace it with a government that will control our daily lives and dictate our every thought. Hitler was effective into turning German citizens into Jew Haters and what followed was a HOLOCAUST!
Today I see good citizens of America , frightened by economic hardship ,swallowing this poison Obama is spreading. Friends Class Warfare is not the AMERICAN WAY , Obama is preaching Class WARFARE . Rev. Wright is joined at the hip with Obama . Our FAR LEFTIST MEDIA hides the evils of Obama due to their HATE for President Bush. Look back at history MOST of the Followers of HITLER were not bad people , they swallowed his lies because their economy was sick and all were in need . You know how GERMANY suffered under HITLER, millions died world wide to correct his evil.
Yet today we see where a repeat can happen now if in the next 8 days we do not AWAKEN our CITIZENS!! All must PRAY for GOD'S help!! THINK about what YOU are doing! Please do not be used by those who seek to destroy AMERICA! If YOU are a OBAMA supporter, the only "Change " you can do to SAVE this Nation is to "CHANGE " your mind , come to your senses , refute this madman before it is to late. SAVE AMERICA!!!

I find the similarities to be few and mostly due to the fact that both were effective charismatic speakers.

Rule of thumb in debates: whoever says "Hitler" first loses.

That being said, Obama appears to have good intentions but we can never forget that power corrupts. And this senator is so green that he has had little time to build up any callouses to the corrupting influences.

Do I have just a tiny small wisp of a thought in the back of my head that the ruler of Tyre is not dead but continues to be a Prince in this world? Yea but prudence requires some better evidence.

I have never heard the words "chatting balls" before so I did a search on it. No definition was found but based on how others used it I gather it is a phrase used in England to mean speech that is loosely logical like when one is drunk or when masses of people all gossip about the same topic (two examples I found).

I did not see how what you had said was a gestapo-like threat or how Conservativetoo could interpret it to be an attack warranting a feeling of persecution - until I saw your response in this post that I am commenting on.

Inviting Conservativetoo to stop posting based on what you call unintelligent tosh has gone too far. It wasn't racist nor hateful nor discriminatory nor even a paranoid theory gone too far. It was civil and relatively meek language used to communicate a message very strongly.

In reviewing what Conservativetoo said in the op, none of it was literally untrue and at least on some level, either as hyperbole or as metaphor, it was all as true as any opinion could be.

I do not agree with Conservatives overall conclusion but I could see where he was coming from and his sentiments were echoed in several of the responses so obviously what he is saying is an opinion shared by many. That in itself makes it worthy of debate.

His statements were hardly unique as all of us know that many presidents and presidential candidates have been compared to Hitler. On this very thread President Bush was compared to Hitler. Did the poster of that get a response from you? What has been said on this thread to compare Obama to Hitler is tame compared to what has been said many many times by other people on this forum in talking about P. Bush. Some of those posters may be witty and well spoken and some may be dull or ridiculous but they all add something. Even the most ridiculous and insulting post adds something (though probably the opposite of what the poster intends) and I like using what they say as a backdrop for a comparitively intelligent post. I post my own share of lame posts and the responses I get help me grow.

This forum is not as popular as some others I have visited but I like it. I have been attempting to personally bring up the quality of threads by posting what I have considered to be well written and thought provoking articles from RCP. Clearly good threads often get carried on as more and more people put in their two cents and bad threads get lost in the shuffle. This is the only mechanism generally needed to keep the whole site operating well.

You are right that this is a private forum. (Of course diners in 1964 that posted signs saying "whites only" were private too). But you are way off in thinking that you can accurately define rubbish in a way that is agreed upon by multicultural variety of people that you have here. I agree that it is the right of this forum to ask Conservativetoo to restrict his free speech rights and I would not ask the federal government to come in and enforce not just his civil rights but he basic constitutional rights. I would just leave with him and invite others with me if it came to that.

Senator Obama is a well respected United States Senator and in a week will be the President elect of our United States of America.

While it's true George Bush is a big screw up and Republican policies have devastated our country on several fronts the fact is people are voting for Senator Obama because he's a kind and extremely intelligent man that cares about our country in the same devoted way he cares about his own family.

You sound a lot like the Nazis you claim to be fearful of.
