You will probably remember the screaming hysteria around the idea that healthcare should be provided by the state free at the point of consumption?

The arguments raged about the injustice of forcing one person to pay for the healthcare of another.

Well think about the attitude of the right to the protesters against the bankers.

The bankers stole a trillion dollars and the poor have to pay fot it.

And yet the right vilifies these people for being angry about one person having to pay for another.

This is spectacular hypocrisy

But worse still it shows how easy it is for the rich to sucker the poor.

The rich have no problem with socialism provided it is poor people sharing their money with the rich.

It is just the other way around they hate

They love Government intervention when it is in the form of bailouts, subsidies, tax breaks, protection etc but hate it when it involves protecting workers rights, safety etc

And they are good at making those who would benefit from a fairer society hate it too

That is because they are evil and their supporters are stupid.

Really?

Can you provide a credible source backing your opinion? Please start with a credible source backing your statement that the poor must pay for the bankers theft of $1 trillion. And, if they 'stole' $1 trillion, why have they not been charged with theft? Why has your Messiah not pursued legal action against the bankers rather than take campaign money from them?

Are you aware that many on the right were against the bailouts advocated by the socialist BO, progressive Bush/McCain, and others on the LEFT? Can you name one political leader on the Left who was against the bailouts?

You misunderstand the attitude of the right against the OWS protesters. They have every right to protest peacefully, but not to occupy private property indefinitely. They do not have the right to harass school children on the way to school or shut down roadways. They do not have the right to commit rape. They do not have the right to urinate and defecate in the streets. This is what the right find inappropriate and the BIG FACT you fail to recognize that the Right knows very well...its not bankers and Wall Street that are the problem, it is WASHINGTON DC....my son.

Are you really this unaware of what is going on around you?

Bankers bought corrupt loans made to people whose ability to repay them would be destroyed by the tiniest market fluctuation.

They then packaged them into CDS/O's and worked with the ratings agancies to fake rate them at AAA.

They then sold them around the world for billions of dollars until the fraud became unsustainable and the banking industry started to collapse

The banks that did this were then given bilions of dollars that came from tax payers. Most tax payers are poor

Ipso facto the poor ar paying for the crime committed by the rich

If you don't know this has happened you are an ignoramus

If you want a source go and read one of the many books on the subject especially Big Shorts.

I know you won't do this because all of your views are the combination of your weak mind, Fox News and websites that want to perpetrate the myths you swallow.

Oh and a book would take you weeks to read.

I'm not hopeful

Most tax payers are poor

Who Pays Income Taxes and How Much?

Top 50% pays 97.75%
Bottom 50% pays 2.25%

47% of those subject to the income tax pay nothing or have a negative tax liability (get back more than they paid).

Logical fallacy: A tu quoque argument attempts to discredit the opponent's position by asserting his failure to act consistently in accordance with that position.

You're arguing the Right are hypocrites because they fail to act consistantly in opposing the practice of government forcing one person to foot the bill for another. The trouble with basing your argument on a fallacy is the fact that the exact same charge of hypocrisy equally applies to you and to those on the Left. You support forcing some people to pay for others in some circumstances (health care) but oppose it in others (bailouts). This failure to act consistantly in regards to the practice of having government force one to pay for another makes you, and the Left, equally guilty of hypocrisy in regards to the tu quoque fallacy.

Erm like Shit Rommel a multimillionaire who estimates his tax at 15%?

Grow up genseneca

The rich pay lawyers and accountants fortunes to avoid tax

They evade millions with off shore banking

They evade tax by being crooked

Only one of those options is available to the poor

the poor pay no taxes and in many cases receive tax money in the form of what is called an earned income tax credit. you would have a better argument referring to the middle class.

One third of US employees earns $9 per hour or less

They pay tax

At a much higher percentage than the rich

They are poor of pocket

You are poor of underdstanding and it is your and your ilk's swallowing of right wing BS that keeps you and most Americans poor

Do you think everyone should earn the same amount of money no matter what job they have?

perhaps some actual facts will help

here is who pays what and at what rate as gleaned from IRS tax filings

its 2009 data but these things don't change much

oh snap ! that didn't import very well

here is the IRS excel link instead

You really mean hyopcrisy of the left right? CNN Proved that last night on the debate. Like rather talk about what Newt did long time ago,,But they never tell the real Obama story long time ago like Bill Ayers and Rev Wright for example.

More unsourced claims that are easily shown to be false...

A "poor" guy making $9/hr @ 40hr/wk X 52 weeks = $18,720
With the standard deductions, that individual will have an income tax liability of $958, a rate of 5.1%

A "rich" guy earning 10 times as much = $187,200
With the standard deductions, this "rich" guy will have an income tax liability of $43,538, a rate of 23.25%

Another "rich" guy earning $187,200 through Capital Gains
With the standard deductions, this "rich" guy will have a capital gains tax liability of $21,480, a rate of 11.4%

Both the "rich" guys are paying more, a lot more, in terms of both actual dollars paid and the % rate by which they are taxed.

Since you have proven incapable of repudiating actual facts, I will await your signature red herring response.

I love it when the facts refute liberal dogma. But then, they always do.
