Reagan agreed to a one time amnesty for a fraction of illegals compared to the number running around in our country today. He did it with the agreement that the Communist Party of America (Dems) would enact border controls to stop the mass exodus out of Mexico. Of course, as is typical of Commies, they did not abide by the agreement.

But that said, even the great Ronald Reagan makes mistakes. He had to know the Dems were lying. They always do. All presidents make mistakes. The dude in the WH now is one big mistake.

As an aside, the biggest mistake Reagan ever made was picking George HW Bush for VP. Had he not done that, we might not have suffered under 12 years of stinking PROGRESSIVE leadership by the Rs.

How many times do things have to be repeated for you?

As a one-shot deal with the leftwingers, which all agreed would never be repeated, during good economic times, and as a compassionate act for only one million people, Reagan agreed to that.

What does that have to do with NOW, with up to 20 million mexicans overruning the country, during a time when the medical and school systems are finally ready to collapse, in the worst economic crisis since the Great Depresssion, staggering national debt and budget deficit, and the southwestern US in every way short of a treaty being converted to mexican provinces?

Also your "pipe dream" is your own pipe dream. Getting the invaders out requires only laws against providing non-emergency medical treatment, and emplementing real ID to keep or hold a job, and enacting stiff fines and jail terms for scofflaws - 90% of the invaders would be gone in a year.
