(CNSNews.com) - The people of North Dakota put more trust and confidence in their state government than people in any other state, while the people of Illinois put the least.
In polling done in June through September 2013, Gallup asked at least 600 people in each state this question: "How much trust and confidence do you have in the government of the state where you live when it comes to handling state problems--a great deal, a fair amount, not very much or none at all?
Seventy-seven percent of the people surveyed in North Dakota said they had a great deal or fair amount of trust and confidence in their state government. That edged out Wyoming, where 76 percent said they had a great deal or fair amount of trust and confidence in their state government.
Illinois ranked dead last, with only 28 percent saying they had a great deal or fair amount of trust and confidence in the state government.
