Court Documents: Rielle Hunter Demands Child Support From John Edwards by Staff
Court documents indicate Rielle Hunter is seeking hefty support for the child of former U.S. Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., has yet to acknowledge fathering.
The documents, including an eight-page "Family Part Case Information Statement," were first published by the National Enquirer, the New York Daily News reports. They were prepared by Hunter's lawyer for filing in Chancery Court in New Jersey with Hunter identified as living in South Orange.
They identify Edwards as the man who fathered Frances Quinn Hunter. The child was born almost two years ago, while Edwards was running for president.
Hunter is seeking $17,000 a month. The tab includes $1,200 for security, $250 for hairdressing for mother and child, $400 for club memberships and $800 for eating out.
The documents, prepared by Frank Louis, Hunter's lawyer, say custody and parenting time are also issues.
Andrew Young, a former Edwards aide, said in 2007 he was the baby's father. But Edwards eventually acknowledged an affair with Hunter.
ABC News announced it will broadcast an interview with Young next month. He has not discussed the imbroglio publicly since 2007, but his book, "The Politician," is about to be released. (c)UPI
