new BO ad just plain lies

they take clips from the 60 Minutes Romney interview talking about his taxes noting that his effective rate is 14%. Then they say lower rates for him than us.

Now had the campaign said said "effective" tax rate it might closer to the truth. Still wrong but less wrong.

The fact is. the tax rates are the same for everyone, marginal or capital gains. While my marginal rate is what it is my effective rate last year was about 11% due to deductions.

And since almost half pay a zero effective rate do they really think this cuts any ice ?

Romney needs to counter that he's in essence been out of work since he left Bain maybe point out BO and Biden's effective rates and maybe shiw how many/few actually pay their marginal rates.

probably. America outside a few of us political junkies doesn't really pay attention till October and lets face it, there is no reason to continue on this path we're on. The last year has mainly been a waste of money.
