A French national of north African origin has been arrested in the north Belgian city of Antwerp on suspicion of driving at a crowd, officials say.

A car was driven "at high speed" on De Meir, Antwerp's main shopping street, before it was intercepted. There were no reports of any injuries.

Knives, a gun and some unidentifiable liquid were found in the car, prosecutors say.

Belgian PM Charles Michel praised the authorities for an "outstanding job".

The driver was named Mohammad . So this is enough for some to assume he is a terrorists. Non Muslims do drive into crowds. The driver who did this in Melbourne was Greek.
 
Cars are being used as weapons by nutters and terrorists. Clearly, we need to register all cars... oh, wait, we do that already.

We need to register lunatics and when law enforcement learns someone is violent ala the English murderer make damn sure they know they are being watched.

Doesn't matter.
Mental health "professionals" have refused to register lunatics even when required by law. All of the lunatics behind shooting sprees had been seen by these "professionals" and none were reported. None.
