Is rebellion good? Think Rosa Parks and Satan, our Lady and Mistress.

Matthew 10: 16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

Both of the females named, Satan and Rosa Parks, are just two of many examples that show where rebellion has improved humanity and can be used to fight evil.

They would have liked this fast marching tune.

Is raising hell a good idea?
=================================
To women.

If raising hell is a good idea, why are you sitting on your hands and not being the good citizen you should be in terms of pushing for equality?

You are the majority.

Has the shame that your despicable religion wrongly created in you killed your pride?

Hell, we have a Gay Pride Parade and they are a minute percentage of the population.
How about a Woman Pride Parade? Or can you not muster your fellow oppressed?

Or are you, --- analogically speaking, --- waiting for the white men at the cool front of the bus to politely ask you to change seats with them?

=============================
=============================

To men of the Abrahamic cults. Christians, Catholics and Muslims.

Remember what God said. “He shall rule over you”.

Why are you men not ruling properly and allowing your charges to shirk their duty to society in not demanding equality?

Why are you sitting on your hands? Should a ruler not rule and order a just thing?

He shall rule over you says that you are ultimately responsible for your wife’s shirking of her duty.

Do get busy all of you Abrahamic men. Christians, Catholics and Muslims.

Justice says that equality is overdue thanks to your lazy wives. Raise a little hell on her but -tock, politically speaking, that is.

It is your duty to society and especially to your fellow men. Women have been our burden long enough. Screw God. Let us give women their due.

========================================

To all.

Change the labels in this quote to women, minorities, gays or children being brainwashed by religions and it shows what we should be thinking and doing for each other.

"First they came for the Jews, but I did nothing because I'm not a Jew. Then they came for the socialists, but I did nothing because I'm not a socialist. Then they came for the Catholics, but I did nothing because I'm not a Catholic. Finally, they came for me, but by then there was no one left to help me." – Pastor Father Niemoller (1946)”

My friends.

Religion came for our women a long time ago and still has them as captive to barbaric immoral non-equality thinking.

Should we not try to get them back?

The situation with Rosa Parks had more to do with racist tradition, than religion. Both black and white southern Americans believed in Christianity at the time. However, they had a vastly different interpretation of the scripture, the latter believing scripture literally justifed racist oppression. In fact, I even remember reading a Bible study book printed before the 1970s where the "Curse of Ham" was presented as the justification for black inequality.

Religions are known for creating division and for being evil.

It is religious tribalism more than racism that is creating much trouble for mankind. Belief in a God does not really exist from what I can see.

Nationalism seems to be just as powerful at dividing mankind as religion. For instance, if you travel to northeast Asia, then you find little interest in religion, at least as something to start a fight over. However, people worship thier nation as the supreme God, and people will kill or harm you if you insult their nation. Huge resentments abound, especially against China and Japan, the two major powers in the region.

Yes. We seem to have a need for drama and will invent a hate if there is none at hand.

We see Christians who love to hate so much that they will switch preachers who cater to that love of hating all others not of their ilk. Even while knowing they chase a lie.

If humans have an inborn tendency to hate, then why would stopping religion solve anything? For instance, a place can eliminate religion, and then the people will simply fight over nationalism. Of course, it is true that some extemely superstitious religions haven't helped the people. In fact, the people can do without them. Myself, I would be in favor of discouraging some religions, but not all of them.

We have inborn tendencies to both love and hate. We can either cooperate or compete as we evolve. Those are the only two choices we have.

To cooperate is to show our loving side and to compete shows our hate. Both hate and love would have varying degrees here. You and I may not hate the one we compete for a job with but we will act like we do when trying to gain in our evolution.

You will note that our default position is to cooperate as that is better for survival than competing.

I don't see acts of rebellion as wrong or the ways of Satan. If they are done in a peaceful way where a person takes a stand for what they believe in how can that be wrong? Rosa Parks did just that she took a stand in a peaceful way because she believed going to the back of the bus just because of the color of her skin wasn't right. Lincoln took a stand when he chose to free the slaves. I believe that there are times when it takes a great deal of faith in a higher power then your own that has people taking a stand for what they feel is right because in the end the person convictions are right on target.

Thanks for this. I agree with all but your last.

Many take a stand without any kind of faith at all.

I don't know why you would thank a God for a human characteristic that seeks justice.

The Christian God knows little of justice. He is shown as a baby torturer and killer so I would not seek justice with him.

You did not speak of Satan. Was she also justified given God's views on justice?

One can compete without being mean. For instance, one can lose without being a sore loser. Often, people use sports to vent anger about other things. For instance, a nation might beat an oppressive nation, politically speaking, and then throw a big party.

I don't see acts of rebellion as wrong or the ways of Satan.

The Bible does say to obey the government, but I don't think it means we're always supposed to lick our master's feet. There are times when people should do what is right, rather than what the government tells us to do. For instance, in the Bible story of Daniel in the Lions Den, Daniel was thown in the fire because he refused to follow the government command to worship an idol.

Yet all Christians are idol worshipers. I dol worship must then be O K with God.

We were talking evolution and survival. Not sports.

I don't believe society can grow and improve without rebellion. It's a necessary if you don't want your society to get stagnant, and more and more corrupt.

I agree.

Let's hope that resistance to a more intelligent or a more mortal system of thought is light enough that all rebellions are non-violent.

Rebellion against a society, might not always be seen as rebellion against God. The two things are very different. In fact, the bible says people should rebel against a society when it becomes ungodly.

Sure. But that same bible has a huge prick as a God. Do you really want to heed what it says?

FMPOV. If that God was about, I would kill then S O B for all his crimes against humanity.

Wouldn't you?
