President Carter nullified the mutual defence treaty between the US and Taiwan in 1979 and America is no longer obliged to intervene on Taiwan's behalf even if Taiwan were attacked by Communist China but a similar treaty is still active between Japan and the US and the US State Department confirmed that a conflict over the disputed Japanese islands will trigger Article 5 of the mutual defence treaty by which the US may intervene militarily to confront China.

Any war between China and the West will be over Taiwan. Europe and Australia will not go to war if China wants to retake Taiwan. The American inparticular Republicans will go to war on this issue. So the USA will be alone in this war.

China will never go to war over Taiwan.
Just cause problems and annoyance.
They are far to patient to risk that much of a setback.

The USA will be alone--in any war in it's future.

At least the next war will not be a world war!

No--nor were the others--really. Hyperbole.
But--the world is so much more crowded now--just expect it to be a bar-fight before an Alabama-Ole Miss football game scenario.
Unless Iran gets nukes.
Which is why Obama is doing everything in his power to help them get them.
Then they will launch on Israel and kill millions.
And Israel with counter-attack killing around 30 million Iranians.
Israel has extraordinarily complex and hidden "doomsday" weapons and delivery systems to retaliate.
Even if they are essentially devastated.
You WILL NOT win against Israel--something the muslims "just don't get".
But--Iran having a nuke--testing a nuke--and getting in position to threaten with some--is a ways off.
I suspect there are those who want to sneak some Pakistani nukes into Iran and use them--a ruse that they came from Iran.
The democrats will not be able to pull off the world caliphate their Dear Leader--Obama--wants so badly.
