While the White House has maintained that low-level employees are to blame for the IRS targeting of conservative non-profits, CNN now reports that the IRS has told House Republicans that no less than 88 employees of the IRS may have documents useful to an investigation. The IRS has already missed a deadline to turn over its documents on May 21 to the House Ways and Means Committee.
I think there are four or five congressional committees investigating the IRS scandal. One of their hearings is tomorrow.
