Why is there uproar in the UK over the new and very right wing prime minister's attempt to change it?

Even members of his own right wing party are rebelling over the proposed changes

The fact is that the people of the UK love the NHS

It is a shame Americans can be so suckered into hating the idea of one for themselves

You are correct. And having experienced the UK national health care for myself and my family while living in England for a total of 4 years, I can tell you that it is just as good, and obviously better for people who can't even get health care in the US then what we have in the US!

Yeah...we Americans want to follow in the foot steps of a broken down bankrupt socialist Little Britain. Its no longer Great Britain thanks to Socialism.

Yeah...we want that...o_O

I'm sorry guys, but your arguments are getting ver, very weak and a little strange!

Now you are comparing access to health care with an addiction to heroin?

Sure, go ahead! If you think that, to appreciate easy access to health care for your loved ones it has to be expensive, and only accessible to elites, or itmay bancrupt you. . . That is pretty sad! lol!

It is an indication of desperation

These guys should be careful about dissing Britain

It was a Brit who invented the Internet they are now using

Who invented the TV they spend the rest of their life watching

Discovered the Electricity that powers these things

Discovered the gravity - a field of which their lardass body has - that keeps them on the ground (physically if not mentally)

The evolution that passed them by

And the language they have barely mastered to communicate their half witted views

Amongst many other things

Newton, Darwin, Faraday, Logie-Baird, Shakespeare.

And many many other intellectual giants

That is correct

But the UK has had the NHS for 60 years now. That is long enough to know

And comparing the appreciation of the NHS with drug addiction is just embarrassing

Face it, state provided healthcare works and demonstrates compassion and civilisation

Screaming abuse against it suggests some kind of mental health issue that the NHS could probably help to treat

Much better to spend trillions killing people eh?

Which is the choice America has made

If Heroin is so bad... Why do Heroin addicts love it so much?

There you go! Liberals, Leftists and Commies, etc....are like heroin addicts.

They just have to have that big tyrannical government FIX...even though they may know its bad for them. Problem is they want the rest of us to be heroin addicts....and I won't do it without a fight...plus I would rather be dead than be red.

Once a program exists (and it has in the UK for quite some time) there is really no getting rid of it, and people don't like to change what they know.

My problem with it is:
I don't think healthcare is a right -- and I don't want to pay for you to access it.

Face it, state provided healthcare works and demonstrates compassion and civilisation
NHS spending: $148,097,000,000 (94b pounds)
Medicare/Medicaid spending: $739,000,000,000

If the amount of taxpayer money spent by the state on health care is an indication of a country's "compassion and civilization", then the US is 5 times more compassionate and civilized than the UK. ;)

if we tried the same degree of rationing there would be a major outcry.
so better hope obamacare gets repealed or you'll get to see what I mean.
