I keep coming across story after story of the MSM news channels constantly falling in ratings. It seems the stories are endless.

I decided to post a few of those stories here and I am asking the question:

Is anyone really watching the MSM or are they just reporting for each other?

Katie Couric

Soft ratings, a huge budget and "disdain" for her female audience — Q Scores report only 10 percent of women view Couric favorably — have the host's Disney/ABC talk show in jeopardy as a renewal decision nears.

Is ‘The View’ Regretting That Decision About Elisabeth Hasselbeck?

Might ABC’s “The View” be regretting its decision to part ways with Elisabeth Hasselbeck?

A report from gossip site Radar Online said the network is already considering dumping Hasselbeck’s replacement, actress and former Playboy playmate Jenny McCarthy, just one month into her stint as a co-host on the weekday talk show.

“ABC has begun doing deep research on Jenny’s work on the show and the initial findings are that viewers want to tune out the second she opens her mouth!” a ”production source” told Radar. “The data has revealed that she is FAR more off-putting than Elisabeth.”

Sorry, MSNBC: Megyn Kelly’s ratings surge is legit

Last week, MSNBC president Phil Griffin insisted that it was “impossible” for ratings of Megyn Kelly’s new primetime Fox News show — “The Kelly File” — to spike on its second night on-air and dominate MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow.

Well, Nielsen has crunched the numbers again and, much to MSNBC’s chagrin, has confirmed that the network is indeed terrible. Sorry, Phil.

Piers Morgan gets one-fourth of Megyn Kelly’s debut-night ratings

When it was announced that Megyn Kelly would be moving from daytime to primetime at Fox News, CNN’s Piers Morgan, who shares the same 9 p.m. ET time slot, tweeted a challenge: “Bring it on,” he said.

The ratings are in for Monday. How’d they match up?

Via the New York Times:

At 9 p.m. … Piers Morgan pulled in only 530,000 viewers, half of [MSNBC host Rachel] Maddow’s audience and just a quarter of Ms. Kelly’s. Mr. Morgan averaged 145,000 in the 25-to-54 group.

Is the New York Times hiding its online mistakes?

In the old days, newspapers published once a day, and if they made a mistake, they ran a clarification or correction the next day.

In the online era, stories are constantly being updated, improved and tweaked, often without the reader’s knowledge.

Is that just the torrid pace of online journalism today, or is it sneaky?
As they could do as AP does and stack updstes stop the story then it could be thought of as sneaky. But those guys abandoned any sort of journalistic ethics long ago. The crosswords is the only real reason to open that rag.

Even LBJ hated the NYSlimes. They've always been on the fringe. The grey lady was accused of yellow journalism back during WWII. They loved Hitler when he came to power.

They love communism ... always have and now they have their communist leader in the White House. Most of Hollywood is that way as well!

And they thought Joseph McCarthy was a paranoid kook. Looks like he was right after all.

Warning: Hearing the Way Ed Schultz Spoke to a 23-Year Military Veteran May Make Your Blood Boil

A retired military veteran called in during Ed Schultz’s radio program on Thursday to respectfully disagree with the host’s claim that Republicans are an enemy to the nation’s vets. Rather than having a reasonable debate, Schultz screamed at the caller, “Russell,” and called his point of view an “idiot argument.”

“I just called to disagree with you about Democrats caring about veterans. I’m a retired veteran with 23 years of service and I don’t know if you know it, but 1 October, 171,000 of us were kicked off our health care. And those ‘evil Republicans,’ as you like to call them, passed a bill in June and it’s been sitting in the Senate and Reid won’t bring it up,” the 23-year veteran began.
