Should the federal government own and operate a newspaper? Is it constitutional? Why or why not? I don't mean should they fund one through grants and then dictate how it operates, thought that is also a valid question. I mean literally that it would buy the presses and ink and hire the reporters and editors and run the show right through to distribution. I also don't mean just this administration, consider the last administration or the next too.

What would the benefits and pitfalls be?
