I would think that 5 shots into a downed perp is excessive.

If the older shooter had combat experience and 'flash backed' into 'combat mode' his actions to him could be justifiable although excessive.

Yet I was not there and really don't know the whole story. For all I know about the situation comes from the MSM and their info could very well be distorted to 'sell the story' or incomplete as to 'not divulge important info' on the situation/case.

You deffended yourself, the next shots where just murder...I would say 1st degree is a stretch though, I would go with a lesser charge, but still charge him.

One can only hope that justice prevails over law. He should be convicted of second degree murder and his sentence should be suspended. But, I doubt that will happen.
