    Let them have a try. Its a gambit same as all the other "offshore" tech companies - like those in Ireland that set up there and tried to avoid tax. There will be a settlement of a few hundred million and everyone will be happy.

    I doubt it, all that happened with the others like Amazon was they offer some cash to keep everyone quiet and it all goes away.

    Eventually they will tire of the extortion and make their own internet. The cost tipping point is not far off.

    It will difficult to tax google. Australia has tried it but failed. The only thing you can do is ban it like in China. But then you have to replace it with something that dose the same job but is under your control. This will be expensive and difficult.
