It's not the 1940s or the 1950s, Joe McCarthy is no longer rooting out alleged Soviet-supporters in the Legislature and the country is not entangled in the Cold War, but don't tell Rep. Allen West.
The Florida Republican told a crowd in his home state Tuesday that as many as 81 members of Congress are Communists.

In a clip of the town hall-style event that was posted online Wednesday, an audience member asks, "What percentage of the American legislature do you think are card-carrying Marxists?"
"I believe there's about 78 to 81 members of the Democratic Party that are members of the Communist Party," he said in the video.

and right wing idiots will still support this idiot.

Instead of attacking right wingers and Lt Colonel West, how about making a case for why he is wrong?

You know, I schooled you on this topic months ago. I proved to you that many Ds are commies. You may not want to admit that the party you love is full of commies, but why? You hold many political beliefs that commies do. Why not admit it?

The rest of what he said he said here;

West; “Some people are going to quibble about semantics",”if you listen to the words of the progressive caucus it’s clear that these people are opponents of capitalism — they oppose free markets, they oppose individual economic freedom — so you can call them whatever you want — whether they’re socialists or marxists or communists.”

Also, according to the Marx theory, socialism is the pathway to communism.

I cannot believe this is seen as controversial in any way.

Despite how you argue for/against the statements made here -- Allen West is not doing the Republican Party any favors with this remark.

Only because the MSM is controlled by leftists...including some commies. They will and are trying to paint West as an extremist for this comment and will do their level best to hurt the R Party and Romney. When the press is overwhelmingly working for the D Party, it is not possible to get fair reporting.

By the way, WEST IS CORRECT!!! The D Party has many Commies in it....as I have long stated on this forum.
