All Americans Must Have 'Healthy Housing'

Werbung:
It is possible to think it would be fine to have a healthy population but to not feel it is the job of the US goverment to seize money to supportforcing poeples actions in what it chooses to be beneficial purchases or behaviors.

Especially when all too often contributors end up as the beneficiarys of this forced exchange of money.

Both California and Masseschutes are nanny socialist states

You DO realise what Medicaid is, yes? The socialists in the US would, quite handily. Americans are so stupid they yammer about Canada's 'socialist' medicare system, yet the medicare system in the USA is far more socialist in that more people are covered by government funding. It is fact that more than 60 million Americans' medical bills are covered by the State, which means taxpayer-funded, as opposed to 32 million Canadians.

What makes you think I do not want a healthy population? I suspect I already know the answer to that but go ahead and let us know anyway.

Profit from suffering...

Anytime a person has a need that is not fulfilled he is experiencing some degree of suffering. If he is hungry he is suffering. If he is not sleeping he is suffering. if he is sick he is suffering. If he needs clothes he is suffering. Any need at all that is unfullfilled causes suffering.

If one sells food, sleep aids, medicine, clothing, or anything at all that meets a need then one is profiting from someone's suffering. What line of work are you in? Does your work provide anything at all of value to someone? If it does then you are profiting by helping some avoid suffering. Good for you.

Do you know where the medical industry sees its greatest profits? Disease patients who must require long-term care. This is VERY profitable, allowing CEO's to own huge trillion dollar mansions. Here, in Canada, we charge what IT COSTS to take care of such patients. In the USA, they charge costs AND MORE to allow for profit. You DO understand this simple concept, do you? Do you even know what 'profit' means? Our system does everything AT COST. The US system does everything WITH A COMFORTABLE PROFIT, thus creating wealth from the sickness of others. If you cannot understand this, then perhaps you are intellectually-challenged, yes? I am aghast that this simple concept escapes you, but then again, as you are American, where profit is king, I am not surprised.

Damn, you are so red I know understand why you continue to warn me. Remember the good old saying... 'better dead than red!'

So nearly 100% of cannucks are covered by government and a quarter of Americans.
What exactly was your point ?

That your quarter costs far, far more than our 100%. Americans continue to label Canada as 'communist' whenever mentioning our healthcare system, yet they have an identical system that pays out far more money than our own, hence the hypocrisy of Americans becomes most glaring indeed.Y

I fail to see the difference between our public healthcare system and your private healthcare system. The ONLY difference is the medium. Our result is better. You Americans pay your money to a middleman, namely your private insurance corporations, who pool the money with other contributors. Our government does exactly the same. But, there are no bullshit restrictions whereupon your private insurers can refuse coverage. It is against the law to do so here in Canada.

Margery my Canadian friend might argue better results but can't as she died for waiting six months on a cat scan that allowed her brain tumor to metastasize and kill her.

Never happened. She would have been moved to the top of the list.

I love those Americans. Toss dying people out of the hospital because they do not have insurance coverage.

You know, America needs to stop trying to outdo our competition.in business, in politics, in everyway..Because it's very expensive and defensive..Lets start under-doing everyone else..We need more simplicity and clarity in our lives ...You know like Canada, England , France.. just something to think about..

I think, one can match anecdote for anecdote.
And yes, absolutely there are wait lists. No free lunch, remember.
However, the net outcomes as measured by hospitals for similar cancers, heart attacks, etc, are statistically very close.
Not bad for 2010 spending levels of $4,445 per person in Canada vs. $8,223 per person in the US
However, Americans who believe that on can have half the cost, universal coverage, the latest expensive technology, massive testing *and* low wait times, etc, all at once are dreaming.
the main problem is that the cost/benefit of Canadian style healthcare is not available without essentially coercing the entire market into that one arrangement.
Thus no American has the option of Canadian levels of healthcare for the lower prices (and more-or-less vice-versa).

Obamacare is imploding and the more people find out about it, they don't like it. Doctors are leaving the profession, the elderly are having their chemo cut off, the government just said yesterday that small businesses won't have their insurance exchanges set up before 2015. The bill is now 20k pages long and growing, because they still, after three years, don't know how to implement it.

Sebelius is blaming the Republicans for the mess even though not one Republican voted for this monstrosity that's destroying our already troubled economy.
